Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville, plans to rehire incumbent consultant Strategic Investment Solutions as general investment consultant, said Shelli King, spokeswoman for David H. Lillard Jr., Tennessee state treasurer, who oversees the pension fund, in an e-mail.
The $44 billion pension fund issued an RFP in August due to the impending expiration of SIS’ contract on Dec. 31. Other finalists were Meketa Investment Group and NEPC.
A contract has yet to be finalized, Ms. King said.
SIS announced Oct. 21 that it plans to merge with consulting firm Verus Advisory, with the combined firm being named Verus Advisory, effective Jan. 1. Ms. King declined to comment on the merger.
