Voya Financial's assets under management totaled $269 billion as of Sept. 30, down 5% from three months earlier and down 3.6% from the year before, the manager said in its earnings report released Wednesday.
Assets under administration for the company were $181.5 billion as of Sept. 30, down 9.7% from three months prior and down 24.7% from 12 months earlier.
The company's retirement segment had net outflows of $1.1 billion in the third quarter, compared with net inflows of $475 million in the second quarter and net outflows of $66 million during the third quarter of 2014.
Net income for the third quarter was $40 million, compared with net income of $285 million for the second quarter and net income of $406 million in the third quarter of 2014. Total operating revenue, meanwhile, was $2.68 billion, up 25.4% from the previous quarter and up 22.3% from the same quarter a year ago.
