BlackRock is set to be listed in the Standard & Poor's 100 index, said S&P spokesman David R. Guarino.
BlackRock, currently a constituent of the S&P 500, will replace Hewlett-Packard in the S&P 100. Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a spinoff of Hewlett-Packard Co., will join the S&P 500.
The move will go into effect after the close of trading on Friday.
BlackRock, the world's largest money manager, had $4.506 trillion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
Other money managers listed in the S&P 100 include Bank of New York Mellon, Goldman Sachs Group, J.P. Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley.
