St. Louis Employees' Retirement System is searching for at least one active international small-cap equity manager to run a total of about $25 million, said Richard Olliges, accounting officer.
The $750 million pension fund issued an RFP because the board “wants to see what's out there,” Mr. Olliges said. Current manager Mondrian Investment Partners, which runs about $25 million, is invited to rebid. Mr. Olliges said the board could rehire Mondrian, hire one or two new managers or hire a manager to complement Mondrian's portfolio.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. CST on Dec. 10. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
