Aongus O’Gorman and Victoria Vodolazschi joined Towers Watson as senior investment consultants to bolster its global hedge fund research and advice capabilities, a spokeswoman said.
The positions are new. Mr. O’Gorman is based in Sydney, and covers hedge fund and other diversifying strategies. Ms. Vodolazschi is based in New York, and focuses on long/short equity, macro and systematic strategies.
The appointments “are very welcome additions to our team at a time when these investments are very popular among institutional investors seeking to diversify, notably into liquid alternatives,” said Luba Nikulina, global head of manager research at Towers Watson, in a news release.
Mr. O’Gorman previously was managing director at Round Tower Solutions. According to its website, Mr. O’Gorman founded the boutique consultant, which focuses on investment governance and product management. Further details were not available by press time, and executives at Round Tower Solutions could not be reached for comment.
Ms. Vodolazschi was a consulting strategy specialist at PivotalPath, where she evaluated hedge fund managers and helped to build the firm’s investment and operational due diligence process. Executives could not be reached for comment by press time.
