Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation board is expected to vote Friday on issuing an RFP for an investment consultant for the $23 billion State Insurance Fund, said Melissa Vince, spokeswoman, in an e-mail.
Staff will request approval of the final RFP, which would be issued Nov. 12.
The Columbus-based bureau must issue an RFP because of the expiration of current consultant RVK’s final contract extension on June 30, 2016. The bureau requires services be put up for bid after a current vendor’s final one-year contract extension. RVK will be invited to rebid.
According to the request for final RFP approval, proposals would be due at 2 p.m. EST on Jan. 7, with a decision scheduled for the bureau’s March 16-17 board meeting. The RFP will be posted on the state’s procurement website.
