Jeffrey Seaver was named managing director on the institutional sales team at Highland Capital Management, a spokeswoman said Monday.
It is a new position. Mr. Seaver will be responsible for growing Highland’s institutional client base, with a focus on delivering customized solutions to U.S. pension funds and insurance companies. He will report to Jess Larsen, managing director and head of institutional sales.
Previously, Mr. Seaver was managing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Loomis Sayles and co-head of the firm’s London office. He was replaced internally in both roles, a spokeswoman said in an e-mail. Chris Yiannakou, director of consultant relations, replaced Mr. Seaver as director of EMEA. Christine Kenny, co-head of the London office with Mr. Seaver, now leads that office. Ms. Kenny retained her previous titles as managing director, senior fixed-income strategist and compliance officer. It could not be learned by press time who replaced Mr. Yiannakou as director of consultant relations.
Highland also announced last week that Terry Jones was named president of institutional products.
It is also a new position. Mr. Jones will oversee the firm’s institutional business development, including developing customized client solutions. He will report to James Dondero, co-founder and president.
Previously, Mr. Jones was lead board director for the Highland Funds, the retail arm of Highland Capital Management. Further information could not immediately be learned.
Highland has about $20 billion in assets under management.
