Kathy Wanner, a partner and co-founder at Adams Street Partners, will retire at the end of the year, Ms. Wanner said in an e-mail.
“Adams Street is in great shape and continues to be well-positioned,” Ms. Wanner said.
She added that she is exploring a range of options for her next move, some of which are focused within health care, noting she spent many years covering and investing in private equity health-care funds.
“Not all options involve investing,” she wrote.
Ms. Wanner will not be replaced at Adams Street, said Kelly Meldrum, a partner and head of the firm's primary investment team, in an e-mail.
“We have taken Kathy's retirement as an opportunity to shift our coverage a bit across the primary investment team,” Ms. Meldrum said.
In May, Adams Street hired Saguna Malhotra as partner in the primary investment team from Stanford Management Co., where she had been a managing director, private equity.
