Michael R. Thompson was named director of business development at Turner Investments, spokesman Tucker Hewes said.
The position is new.
Mr. Thompson is responsible for overseeing the firm's U.S. sales. He reports to Bob Turner, chairman and CEO.
Mr. Thompson was director of institutional business development for Diamond Hill Capital Management. It could not be learned by press time whether he was replaced; Diamond Hill spokeswoman Susan Stuart declined to comment.
Turner Investments had $600 million in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
