Sampson Jordan plans to retire as CEO of the $610 million Austin (Texas) Police Retirement System on Dec. 18, Mr. Jordan said in an e-mail.
At its board meeting Wednesday, the pension fund hired executive search firm EFL Associates to assist with its search for a new CEO.
There is no timeline for the search or hiring decision.
Mr. Jordan joined the pension fund in 1992 as administrator.
