Robert J. Klein was named senior portfolio manager and managing director, structured products, at CIFC Asset Management, spokesman Matt Gaboury said.
The position is new. Mr. Klein will lead the firm's structured products portfolios and join the firm's operating committee. He will report to Steve Vaccaro and Oliver Wriedt, co-presidents of parent CIFC Corp.
Mr. Klein was lead portfolio manager for collateralized loan obligation investments at Prospect Capital Management. Nishil Mehta co-led the CLO business and continues to lead the business, Prospect Capital spokesman Michael Cimini said.
CIFC manages about $14 billion in assets.
