During the third quarter assets under management at PIMCO fell by the smallest margin since Bill Gross left the firm at the end of the third quarter last year.
AUM stood at $1.47 trillion as of Sept. 30, down 3.3%, or $50 billion from the prior quarter. Total assets are down $406 billion from the same date last year, a decrease of 21.7%.
According to Morningstar data, performance of the fund's Total Return Bond Fund ranked in the 29th percentile over the last year (data through Oct. 19). That is up from the 77th percentile when Mr. Gross left the firm on Sept. 26, 2014.
