Sunil Kaul, a Singapore-based managing director with Carlyle Group's buyout advisory team, was named head of Southeast Asia for the team.
The position is new for Carlyle Asia, said a Beijing-based spokesman for the firm.
Greg Zeluck, managing director and co-head of the Carlyle Asia buyout advisory team, said In a news release Friday that Mr. Kaul will lead Carlyle's investment advisory activities in the fast-growing Southeast Asia region that will remain a source of “great opportunities.”
