WA Super, Perth, Australia, hired Towers Watson as the A$2.5 billion ($1.8 billion) superannuation fund's investment consultant.
Towers Watson replaces CPG Research & Advisory, a Sydney-based boutique investment consultant, said John McNally, the superannuation fund's CEO, in an e-mail Friday.
An official at CPG Research & Advisory couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
The selection of Towers Watson was made on the strength of factors such as breadth and depth of global research, innovation and thought leadership, as well as the “strength of their investment beliefs and investment strategy formulation process,” said Anika Warburton, WA Super's marketing coordinator, in a separate e-mail.
