Attleboro (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for a core-plus real estate manager to run $6.5 million.
Dahab Associates, investment consultant to the $125 million pension fund, is assisting with the search.
The search is being conducted to diversify the pension fund’s investment portfolios, said Gregory A. McNeillie, vice chairman and principal at Dahab Associates. Currently, its real estate exposure is limited to core and public real estate investment trusts.
Invesco is the current manager for the pension fund’s core and REIT portfolios. With the addition of the core-plus allocation, Attleboro is expected to reduce the exposure of the REIT portfolio. Invesco is invited to bid on the core-plus search.
The RFP is available on Dahab’s website. Proposals are due by noon EST on Nov. 12. A selection is expected to be made in early 2016.
