Jason Shoup was named senior portfolio manager and fixed-income strategist at Legal & General Investment Management America, said a spokeswoman.
Mr. Shoup reports to Dave Nirtaut and Jeff Koch, co-heads of U.S. fixed income at LGIMA.
It could not immediately be learned whether it is a new position or whether Mr. Shoup replaced someone in that role. Previously, Mr. Shoup was director, head of U.S. high-grade credit strategy at Citigroup. His replacement has not yet been announced, a Citigroup spokeswoman said.
LGIMA, which specializes in fixed income, liability-driven investment and index strategies, had more than $116 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
