Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, is searching for a private equity investment consultant, said Sharmila Chatterjee Kassam, deputy chief investment officer.
The selected firm will work alongside Altius Associates, the pension fund’s existing private equity consultant. The $25 billion pension fund currently has about $2.5 billion invested in private equity. It continues to explore primary, secondary and co-investment opportunities.
To receive a copy of the RFP, interested firms must complete a prequalification questionnaire available on the website of the state comptroller of public accounts. The prequalification questionnaire and RFP are due by 12 p.m. CST on Nov. 2.
A hiring date has not been targeted but will depend on the search process.
