AXA Investment Managers added three new positions to its North America and Asia businesses, spokeswomen said.
Tom Clapham joined AXA in Hong Kong as head of the firm's sovereign wealth fund and central bank business in Asia. He will report to Terence Lam, managing director and head of sales and marketing in Asia, and Pierre De Bonneville, head of sovereign and supranational entities.
Mr. Clapham comes from Macquarie Securities Group, where he served as director of institutional sales. A Macquarie spokeswoman declined comment.
Jamison Gagnier was named director of U.S. institutional sales at AXA Investment Managers Americas, with a focus on the eastern half of the U.S. and Canada, said a spokeswoman in an e-mail.
Mr. Gagnier reports to Steve Sexeny, head of AXA's U.S. client group.
AXA also announced Wednesday that Rafael Tovar was named director of U.S. wholesale offshore sales. Mr. Tovar focuses on expanding AXA's offshore offerings and reports to James Wallace, head of U.S. wholesale and subadvisory distribution.
Mr. Gagnier was vice president, institutional sales, at Loomis Sayles. A spokesman could not be reached for replacement information.
Mr. Tovar joins from Nikko Asset Management where he was vice president, sales and marketing, institutional. “Nikko Asset Management Americas is in advanced discussions with finalist candidates and expects to have the position filled in the near term," a spokeswoman said.
AXA IM had $772 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
