Elsie Chan joined T. Rowe Price in Hong Kong as head of intermediary sales, Asia, ex- Japan and Australia.
The position is new. A T. Rowe news release said Ms. Chan will be responsible for crafting the firm's intermediary sales strategy for the region, and hiring a team to develop products for that channel. She will report to Scott Keller, head of global investment services for the Asia-Pacific region.
Ms. Chan has been a managing director at UBS Asset Management in Hong Kong, where she served as head of UBS Wealth Management distribution Asia-Pacific and head of wholesale distribution Hong Kong and Singapore. A UBS spokeswoman said Ms. Chan's roles were filled by Markus Egloff, a 19-year veteran of UBS Wealth Management, most recently in the role of chief of staff.
