Denver Water is searching for an investment consultant for its defined benefit plan, said spokesman Jimmy Luthye.
The search is being conducted due to a policy of putting consulting services up for bid from time to time, Mr. Luthye wrote in an e-mail. Watershed Investment Consultants, the current consultant, is invited to rebid.
The plan had $311 million in assets as of June 30 and a target allocation of 35% to 70% total public equity; 10% to 50% fixed income; and 10% to 40% alternatives, which includes real estate and hedge funds of funds plus cash and equivalents.
The RFP is available on the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System website. Registration is required.
The deadline for proposals is 11 a.m. MDT on Oct. 23. Finalist interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of Nov. 9 with a hiring decision by Jan. 1.
