Matthew Malloy was named global head of insurance solutions at Neuberger Berman, a spokesman said.
It is a new position. Mr. Malloy, who started Monday, will focus on deepening existing client relationships and guide the firm’s strategy for serving its global insurance clients.
He reports to Andrew Komaroff, chief operating officer.
Previously, Mr. Malloy was global head of institutional solutions and advisory at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Prior to that role, he built and led the firm’s global insurance solutions business. A replacement for Mr. Malloy has not yet been named, a JPMAM spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
Neuberger Berman has about $20 billion in insurance assets under management, including general account mandates.
