Walter Bean, senior portfolio manager and head of the strategic value dividend team at Federated Investors, will retire at the end of the year, confirmed company spokeswoman Meghan A. McAndrew.
His responsibilities will be assumed by Daniel Peris, senior portfolio manager, and Deborah D. Bickerstaff , portfolio manager.
Mr. Bean will continue in his role as senior portfolio manager through Dec. 31, while working with Mr. Peris and Ms. Bickerstaff to transition his responsibilities.
Mr. Peris will become head of the team at the end of the year. He currently oversees the team's research efforts, while Ms. Bickerstaff oversees model interactions for various platforms.
Ms. Bickerstaff reports to Mr. Peris and will continue to do so after Mr. Bean retires.
Federated's strategic value dividend strategy has $25 billion in assets in U.S. and international mutual funds, managed accounts and institutional separate accounts.
Federated Investors managed $349.7 billion in assets as of June 30.
