During the third quarter, the global initial public offering market had its slowest issuance since the first quarter of 2012.
$13.6 billion in proceeds were raised during the quarter, down 73.6% from the prior quarter and down 76.8% from the third quarter a year ago.
The number of deals in the quarter (42) was down 41% from a year ago.
The largest U.S.-based IPOs in the quarter were Blue Buffalo Pet Products ($677 million), TerraForm Global ($675 million) and Performance Food Group ($276 million).
