INTECH Investment Management has hired three new associates of research as part of the formation of a new research group aimed at supplementing its portfolio management team, spokeswoman Tess Rodriguez said.
Gaurav Thakur, Onur Ozyesil and Lin Zhao, all who have doctorate degrees, will support the research and analytics efforts to optimize portfolios and develop new strategies. All three new associates are based at INTECH's research headquarters in Princeton, N.J.
INTECH is the quantitative equity division of Janus Capital Group.
Prior to joining INTECH, Mr. Thakur was a senior data scientist at Digital Signal Corp., where he worked on designing a decision-making software system based off of a Bayesian statistical algorithm he created.
Mr. Ozyesil was a visiting researcher at The Coordinated Science Laboratory of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he researched optimal linear transformations for communication with partial information.
Ms. Zhao delivered interactive lectures to students of multivariable calculus, among other subjects. Further information was not available by press time.
