Nebraska Investment Council, Lincoln, made two new private equity commitments totaling $100 million, said Michael Walden-Newman, state investment officer, in an e-mail.
The council, which oversees a total of $22 billion in assets, committed $50 million each to Ares Corporate Opportunities Fund V, managed by Ares Management, and HarbourVest Partners’ Dover Street IX.
The council previously committed $20 million to Ares Corporate Opportunities Fund IV in March 2012, and $40 million to Dover Street VIII in September 2012.
