James A. Warner III joined multistrategy hedge fund manager Deimos Capital Management as managing director and portfolio manager.
The position is new, spokeswoman Jennifer Gill said in an e-mail.
Mr. Warner was principal and chief investment officer of Black Ox Capital Management, a firm he founded in 2014 after leaving Citadel Group’s Surveyor Capital where he was a senior analyst and portfolio manager, focused on managing investments in financial services companies, a news release said.
Information about Black Ox and the impact of Mr. Warner’s departure could not be learned by press time.
Deimos managed $354 million as of April 27, according to its most recent ADV filing with the SEC.
