Lisa Massena was named executive director of the new Oregon Retirement Savings Plan, a retirement savings plan for private-sector Oregon workers whose employers don’t provide a plan, said Michael Cox, spokesman for state Treasurer Ted Wheeler, in an e-mail.
The plan is expected to be available to private employees in Oregon on July 1, 2017. Ms. Massena will manage the development of the Oregon Retirement Savings Plan and serve as principal staff to the Oregon Retirement Savings Plan Board, which will oversee the plan.
Ms. Massena worked at Lambert Massena, the consulting firm she co-founded, since March. Before that, she was a senior vice president at State Street’s investment analytics unit. In 1991, Ms. Massena co-founded Arnerich Massena, a Portland, Ore.-based investment consulting firm.
“Oregon is fortunate to have attracted such a knowledgeable and experienced person for this position,” Mr. Wheeler said in a news release. “Lisa will help ensure that we research, develop and implement a plan that will give every Oregonian an opportunity to retire in dignity and economic security after a lifetime of work.”
