Delaware Public Employees' Retirement System, Dover, will allocate $100 million to Vanguard Short Term Federal Fund, a mutual fund, following a vote by trustees on Friday.
The allocation to Vanguard Group will come from cash, according to Jessica Eisenbray, spokeswoman for the $9.2 billion fund.
On July 21, the investment committee also agreed to recommend committing up to $50 million to Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund IX, a U.S.-focused private equity fund targeting late-stage technology and health-care firms. The commitment is subject to review, according to minutes from a July 31 board meeting.
The investment committee also approved termination of the Bares Small Cap account, a small-cap equity separate account managed by Bares Capital Management with proceeds going to the cash account.
