New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany, made 10 new commitments totaling about $1.3 billion, said two recently posted monthly transaction reports.
The $182.5 billion pension fund committed $300 million to TIAA-CREF Global Agriculture II, a farmland fund.
Also, the pension fund committed €200 million ($226 million) to EQT VII, a buyout fund managed by EQT Partners, and $200 million to Landmark Hudson Partners I, a private equity fund managed by Landmark Partners.
The pension fund also committed $200 million to KKR Infrastructure Investors II, managed by KKR & Co.
Also, the pension fund committed €150 million to European buyout fund Bridgepoint Europe V and €50 million to Bridgepoint Europe V-Wigmore Street Co-Investment No. 3, and also made a commitment of $100 million to ADV Opportunities Fund I, an Asia-focused private equity middle-market fund managed by ADV Partners.
The pension fund also reported three smaller commitments: $15 million to Contour Opportunities Fund, managed by Contour Venture Partners; $12 million to Anchor Equity Partners Fund II, a South Korea-based private equity fund, and £8.3 million ($12.9 million) to private equity fund Palatine Private Equity III.
The pension fund has committed to previous funds of all managers, except for ADV Partners and TIAA-CREF, which are both first-time commitments.
