Mike Riddell was named U.K. fixed-income portfolio manager at Allianz Global Investors, effective Oct. 1, spokesman John Wallace said.
It is a new position. Mr. Riddell will support the firm as it looks to expand its European fixed-income capabilities, Mr. Wallace said.
Mr. Riddell will report to Mauro Vittorangeli, chief investment officer for conviction fixed income at AllianzGI.
Previously, Mr. Riddell was a fixed-income portfolio manager at M&G Investments. An M&G spokesman could not immediately be reached for additional information.
AllianzGI had €147 billion ($163 billion) in European fixed-income assets under management as of June 30.
