State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Madison, issued an RFP for a firm to provide auditing services of its investment performance measurement and reporting process and calculations.
SWIB, which oversees $104 billion in investments, defines the scope of the work to include reviewing the processes and controls to ensure “portfolio and benchmark performance numbers are documented, accurate, consistent, use proper source data, have proper review controls in place and meet industry best practices,” the RFP said.
“As part of best practices, every area at SWIB is subject to periodic audits,” Chris Preisler, SWIB communications specialist, said in an e-mail. “A performance measurement and reporting audit was last conducted in 2011, also by an outside specialist.”
The RFP is available on SWIB's website. Proposals are due Sept. 28; SWIB expects the work to start by Oct. 19.
