Kurt Livermore was named portfolio manager at Acadian Asset Management, spokesman Kevin Anthony said.
The position is new. Mr. Livermore will be responsible for equity portfolio management. He will be based out of the firm's Boston office and report to Brendan Bradley, senior vice president and director of portfolio management.
Mr. Livermore was a partner and portfolio manager for U.S. and global equity strategies at GlobeFlex Capital. It was not known by press time whether he had been replaced; Marina Marrelli, CEO of GlobeFlex, did not return a phone call.
Acadian Asset Management managed more than $74 billion in assets as of June 30.
