The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association on Friday announced changes to its Level I curriculum.
The updated text for the Level I exam will include a “deeper dive into natural resources,” a new chapter on developments in structured products and fixed income, and a major focus on liquid alternatives, a CAIA news release said.
“In updating our curriculum, CAIA had the great luxury of being able to call on some of the brightest minds in academia as well practitioners who are at the very top of their respective alternative investment fields,” said William J. Kelly, CEO of the association, in the news release.
The changes will take effect for the 2016 exam cycle.
