Jae Yoon was named chief investment officer of New York Life Investment Management, spokeswoman Jacqueline Meere said.
The position is new.
Mr. Yoon will chair the NYLIM investment governance committee and partner with the portfolio teams in NYLIM’s sister company MainStay Investments’ boutiques and affiliates. He reports to Yie-Hsin Hung, CEO of NYLIM.
Mr. Yoon was CIO of NYLIM’s strategic asset allocation and solutions group, which manages asset allocation portfolios and provides economic and market research for NYLIM and its clients. He will retain these responsibilities.
NYLIM had $330 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
