Katharine Photiou joined Legal & General Investment Management as head of workplace defined contribution-product and proposition, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new, and Ms. Photiou reports to Aaron Meder, head of investments at LGIM.
Ms. Photiou focuses on attracting and retaining corporate clients. She also sits on LGIM’s independent governance committee.
“Workplace savings is a core area of focus for us,” Mr. Meder said in a news release. “We want a market leading proposition that not only attracts new corporate clients but also delivers good member outcomes, no matter their requirements.”
LGIM has £714.6 billion ($1.1 trillion) in assets under management.
Ms. Photiou was previously head of workplace savings at Barclays. Spokesmen could not be reached for comment by press time.
