Amy Wang joined Pioneer Investments as head of Greater China-institutional.
The position is new, said Jack W. Lin, Singapore-based head of Asia and Middle East with Pioneer Investment Management Ltd., in an e-mail. Ms. Wang was chief representative for Franklin Templeton Investments in Beijing, said a Pioneer news release Wednesday.
A Franklin Templeton spokeswoman said in an e-mail that the company is seeking approval now from regulators in China to fill the China chief representative post.
The Pioneer news release also said Anthony Heredia joined Pioneer’s Mumbai-based joint venture, Baroda Pioneer Asset Management Co., as CEO, while Johnny Wong joined as CEO and managing director of Pioneer’s Taiwan operations.
Mr. Heredia replaces Oliver Bilal, who left the firm earlier this year.
Mr. Heredia was managing director of Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s Mumbai-based office. A spokeswoman for MSIM couldn’t immediately provide information about a replacement.
A spokeswoman for Pioneer couldn’t immediately provide information regarding Mr. Wong’s predecessor in Taiwan.
Mr. Wong was general manager and managing director of Neuberger Berman’s business in Taiwan. A spokesman for Neuberger confirmed Mr. Wong’s departure but declined further comment.
