Nicole Musicco was appointed managing director for Asia-Pacific and Hong Kong office head for the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, the C$154.5 billion ($116.3 billion) Toronto-based pension fund announced Monday.
The position is new. Ms. Musicco previously worked in the pension fund's Toronto office as vice president, Teachers’ Private Capital, the pension fund’s private equity unit. A Hong Kong-based spokesman for the pension fund couldn’t immediately say whether her previous role has been filled.
The announcement emphasized Ms. Musicco’s private markets experience, noting that she has “a strong private equity background with experience in both direct and fund investing.” In her new role, meanwhile, she will be responsible “for the full investment cycle from origination to execution across asset classes in the region,” the announcement said.
Ms. Musicco wasn't available for further comment.
Ontario Teachers opened its Hong Kong office in 2013, and had C$12 billion in Asia-Pacific investments as of Dec. 31.
