Julian Cripps joined RPMI as chief operating officer, investments, said a spokeswoman.
The position is new; Mr. Cripps is based in London. He oversees the provision of investment analytic and dealing capabilities for the front-office operations, and for middle- and back-office operations. Mr. Cripps is also responsible for risk management, legal, compliance and facilities management of the London office, said a statement provided by RPMI by e-mail.
RPMI invests the assets of the £21 billion ($31.8 billion) Railways Pension Scheme, London.
He previously was chief operating officer at River & Mercantile Group.
