Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Augusta, made two new commitments totaling up to $110 million, said Andrew Sawyer, chief investment officer, in an e-mail.
The $12.1 billion pension fund committed up to $60 million to Riverside Micro-Cap Fund IV, a private equity fund managed by Riverside Co. The pension fund previously committed up to $34.9 million to Riverside Micro-Cap Fund III in April 2014.
Separately, the pension fund committed up to $50 million to KKR Real Estate Partners Europe, a real estate fund managed by KKR & Co.
The pension fund's previous KKR commitment was up to $60 million to KKR Special Situations (Domestic) Fund II, an event-driven and distressed debt fund, in December 2014.
