Paul Ames was named senior vice president, North American consultant relations at Delaware Investments, said spokeswoman Marlene Petter.
The position is new.
Mr. Ames is responsible for developing a strategy to cultivate and deepen relationships with institutional consultants in the U.S and Canada, and coordinate consultant relations activities across the firm's institutional business in North America and with parent company Macquarie Investment Management colleagues globally. He reports to Scott Kearney, head of institutional sales at Delaware Investments.
Mr. Ames was a vice president in Franklin Templeton Institutional's consultant relations team. The company is currently searching for a replacement, said Franklin Templeton spokeswoman Stacey Coleman.
Delaware Investments had $180 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
