Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for a manager to run a $50 million energy master limited partnership portfolio, spokesman Tim Barbour said.
The $12.8 billion pension fund has issued an RFP for its first MLP manager, which Mr. Barbour said will fall within the pension fund’s infrastructure or opportunistic asset classes. A funding source has yet to be determined.
The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website. Proposals are due at 4:30 p.m. EDT on Sept. 16. Presentations are tentatively scheduled for late September, followed by due diligence visits in early October. A final hiring date was not specified.
