Shane McMahon was named vice president and head of U.S. institutional sales and service at Mackenzie Investments, spokeswoman Trish Tervit said.
Mr. McMahon replaces John Black, who left the company to join Pioneer Investments as senior vice president, institutional business development officer in the U.S.
Mr. McMahon focuses on Mackenzie’s institutional strategies, initially concentrating on global and international growth equity, global natural resources and global value equity. He is based in New Canaan, Conn., and reports to Chris Boyle, senior vice president, institutional.
Mr. McMahon was vice president, client service and marketing at Axiom International Investors. It could not be learned whether he was replaced; Denise M. Zambardi, Axiom International chief compliance officer and controller, did not return a phone call by press time.
Mackenzie Investments had C$61.3 ($46 billion) billion in assets under management as of Aug. 31.
