California State University, Long Beach, Calif., hired Fidelity Investments as record keeper for its $1.1 billion 403(b) plan, said Melody Kojima, interim director, contract services and procurement.
The university issued an RFP in April because the contracts of the five current record keepers are due to expire Dec. 31. Fidelity is one of the record keepers, along with MetLife and Voya Retirement Services, as well as TIAA-CREF and VALIC, which were the other finalists in the search.
