Henry Henkel was named director of business development at Cafaro Greenleaf, said Rene Moore, spokesman for the retirement advisory firm, in an e-mail.
It is not a new position. Mr. Moore declined to name the former director of business development.
Mr. Henkel is responsible for building new client relationships, educating prospective clients and advancing the firm's strategic market plans. He reports to Wayne Greenleaf Jr., managing principal.
Previously, Mr. Henkel was senior vice president, director-corporate investment services at BBVA Compass Bank. A spokeswoman for BBVA Compass Bank declined to comment on a replacement.
Cafaro Greenleaf has about $2 billion in institutional assets under advisement.
