Michelle Neal was named president of BNY Mellon Markets Group, the unit of Bank of New York Mellon that includes asset servicing, foreign exchange and trading, and prime brokerage.
Ms. Neal will start Nov. 30, BNY Mellon said in a news release.
Ms. Neal replaces Kurt Woetzel, who retired earlier this summer, said Ronald Sommer, BNY Mellon spokesman. Executives in the group have been handling Mr. Woetzel’s duties since his retirement, working with Curtis Arledge, vice chairman of BNY Mellon, who oversees the group, Mr. Sommer said.
Ms. Neal will report to Mr. Arledge.
Ms. Neal was managing director, global head of listed derivatives, markets clearing and fixed-income market structure at Deutsche Bank. Oksana Poltavets, spokeswoman at Deutsche Bank, said the firm would have no comment.
