Marten Lindeborg was named deputy CEO and chief investment officer at Third Swedish National Pension Fund, Stockholm, the pension fund announced Monday.
Mr. Lindeborg replaces Kerim Kaskal, chief investment officer, who is leaving the 288.3 billion Swedish kronor ($34.5 billion) AP3 in October to launch his own money management firm.
An effective date for Mr. Lindeborg’s CIO appointment was not provided. His first day as deputy CEO will be Sept 1.
It could not immediately be learned whether deputy CEO is a new position or whether Mr. Lindeborg will replace someone in that role.
Mr. Lindeborg, currently head of asset management, joined AP3 in February 2009 as head of strategic allocation.
An AP3 official could not be immediately reached for additional information, including information on a replacement for Mr. Lindeborg.
