Nashville (Tenn.) & Davidson County Metropolitan Government Employee Benefit Trust Fund made six new commitments totaling up to $235 million, said Fadi BouSamra, chief investment officer, in an e-mail.
The $2.8 billion pension fund committed up to $60 million to Axiom Asia Private Capital IV, a private equity fund of funds. The pension fund previously committed $30 million to Axiom Asia Private Capital III in 2012.
Also, the pension fund committed up to $40 million each to Anchorage Illiquid Opportunities V, a credit fund managed by Anchorage Capital Group; EIG Global Private Debt Fund, managed by EIG Global Energy Partners; Marathon European Credit Opportunities Fund III, a European distressed debt fund managed by Marathon Asset Management; and Oaktree European Capital Solutions Fund, a European opportunistic credit fund managed by Oaktree Capital Management.
The pension fund has previously made commitments to all of those managers.
New for the pension fund is a commitment of up to $15 million to Astorg Partners Fund VI, a European private equity fund.
