Ann Flynn joined Towers Watson as a senior consultant, responsible for business development for its U.K. defined contribution consulting team, said a spokesman.
The role is new. In a news release Monday, Kevin Stratford, head of U.K. DC consulting at Towers Watson, said the team expects to see further growth as interest continues in the U.K.'s new rules around the DC plan market that mean participants no longer have to purchase an annuity to provide income in retirement.
Ms. Flynn previously ran her own consulting firm, Ann Flynn Consulting. The spokesman said she is full-time at Towers Watson. Further details were not available by press time.
Prior to that, she was head of workplace distribution proposition at Standard Life, which she left in 2013.
