Kevin P. Quirk was named chairman of Casey, Quirk & Associates, the specialist consulting firm to money managers that he co-founded with John F. Casey and others in 2002.
He succeeds Mr. Casey, who is moving to the role of senior adviser. Messrs. Casey and Quirk both are partners of the firm.
“I am very pleased to pass on the baton to Kevin,” Mr. Casey said in a news release about the promotion, which occurred Aug. 21.
“Kevin's succession to chairman is part of a long-term transition plan we have had in place for several years,” Yariv Itah, managing partner, added in the release.
In an interview prior to his promotion, Mr. Quirk said he was very pleased with the way CQA has been growing, especially its success in recruiting bright, young employees.
He noted the firm's head count has grown 67% in the past few years and the company now has offices in Darien, Conn., New York and Hong Kong, as well as a senior adviser based in London.
