Illinois State Treasurer’s office, Springfield, rehired Union Bank & Trust as program manager for its $1.8 billion Bright Directions 529 plan, said an announcement on the treasurer’s website Wednesday.
The selected firm will provide administration, record keeping and investment management, among other services.
An RFP was issued in February. Union Bank & Trust’s new contract started last week.
A spokeswoman for the Treasurer Michael J. Frerichs and a procurement official could not be reached for additional information by press time.
